MYSORE ZILLA MAHILA SAHAKARA BANK NIYAMITHA has its roots deeply embedded in the co-operative movement of Mysore. Built on the principles of financial inclusion, women’s empowerment and community welfare, the bank was conceived by visionary local leaders dedicated to serving the financial needs of the women of the region and their families.

Initially operating as a co-operative society, the institution focused on mobilising savings and providing accessible credit to its members. Through decades of steady growth, sound management, and sustained public trust, the bank expanded its operational footprint and became a full-fledged urban co-operative bank regulated by the Reserve Bank of India.

Though the Reserve Bank of India has brought all co-operative banks under the umbrella of many of the regulations applicable to commercial banks, the bank has proudly retained its ‘A’ grade — the result of the committed efforts of its Directors, members of the Board, depositors and employees.
